Free LEARNING GROUP
In Tipsy Mandarin free Facebook group, you can access learning materials for intermediate level, including worksheets for learning Chinese through YouTube videos. We also organize occasional online Chinese chat sessions with the aim of creating a relaxed and supportive community.
Speaking & Listening courses
Small class sizes (Max 5 people) ensure ample speaking opportunities for each student. The courses are conducted primarily in Mandarin, enhancing students' listening skills. The curriculum follows a thematic approach, enabling students to engage in fluent conversations in various contexts.
Private lessons
Customized one-on-one lessons with a professional Mandarin teacher for your specific goals, whether it's business Mandarin, travel, or daily conversations.
All students have access to professional teachers
who can assist with any Chinese
learning questions they may have.
Speaking & Listening courses
Course content:
The course focuses on immersive learning and currently covers the following topics:
Week1 :Cooking Mandarin (Recipes)
Week2: Cooking Mandarin
Week3: Holding a dinner party
Week4: Interests/Hobbies
Week5: Social media
Week 6-8: TBC. Since it's a small-class format,
students can also request topics they want to learn.

Yi-Chun is a very natural teacher! She has a very good basis of material to work off of, but she uses that as a base to explore natural conversation, which is exactly what I need. So our lessons are very, very dense, which is of course great! I'm learning so much and getting so much speaking practice. Hi ! 你好 I am from Taiwan. I've been teaching Mandarin for more than 4 years now.
Before going back to Uni to pursue my master's degree (University of Nottingham MA Teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages). I primarily worked in hospitality and social media marketing industries in Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Australia, China and UK. I enjoy traveling, experiencing different culture, cooking and working out.
As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges of learning from a textbook and the difference between textbook knowledge and real-life conversation. However, I also know the joy that comes with achieving your language learning goals. I've observed that many students lack a supportive environment for practicing spoken Chinese, which is why I founded Tipsy Mandarin. My aim is to assist students in learning Chinese through an enjoyable, encouraging, and effective approach.
